What does “orkar inte” mean in Swedish?

Swedish has a verb English is missing: orka, “to have the energy to do something.” Say “jag orkar inte” and one word covers both real tiredness and a flat refusal — it means “I’m too tired to run” and “I just can’t deal with this right now.” That mix of energy and willingness is what makes it so handy in everyday Swedish.
