Thai uses the number แสน (saen, “one hundred thousand”) as a fixed intensifier in front of adjectives. แสนอร่อย (saen aroi) means “super delicious” (literally “100,000-delicious”). แสนสุข (saen suk) is “super happy.” แสนรัก (saen rak) is “infinitely loved.” The numeral construction belongs to a small set of Thai counters that travel beyond literal counting: พัน (phan, “thousand”) and หมื่น (muen, “ten thousand”) don’t intensify the same way.
This clip is a sweet domestic moment: a woman is making homemade Thai ขนม (khanom, “sweets”) and praising the result as แสนอร่อย. The numeral-as-intensifier gives the praise a slightly literary, affectionate ring.
