What does “modif” mean in Indonesian?

Modif is the spoken short form of Indonesian modifikasi (a Dutch-via-Latin loan). On the street it’s a verb (ngemodif), a noun (hasil modif) and a culture all at once: bike club nights, Vespa rallies, motorbike-customisation YouTubers. The full modifikasi survives in headlines and ads; everyday talk and TikTok captions almost always shorten it to modif.
