What does “الأكس” (al-aks) mean in Arabic?
Arabic wraps English “ex” in its own grammar and makes it الأكس (al-aks). The word enters as a bare stem and the definite article ال (al-) snaps on as it would with any Arabic noun — so الأكس بتاعها is not “the her ex” but simply “her ex,” with بتاعها doing the possessive work.
