Tamil family-drama dialogue and song lyrics lean heavily on the word உயிர் (uyir), which means “life,” “soul,” or “breath.” Calling someone உயிரே (uyire) is one of the strongest declarations Tamil offers: you are not just loved, you are my breath itself.
