Ispanaklı mantarlı kiş tarifi adım adım

What does “kiş” mean in Turkish?
This recipe makes a French classic: «Fransız mutfağının eşsiz lezzetlerinden ıspanaklı mantarlı kiş» (“spinach-and-mushroom quiche, one of French cuisine’s unique delights”). Kiş is simply “quiche”, and the spelling is the lesson.
Turkish writes foreign words the way they sound: French quiche becomes kiş, because Turkish ş makes the “sh” sound and spelling follows pronunciation almost perfectly. The same logic gives şort (shorts), tişört (t-shirt), and şef (chef). Once you learn that Turkish is written as it’s spoken, loanwords stop looking strange and start sounding obvious.
