What does “仰着头 (yǎngzhe tóu)” mean in Chinese?

仰 (yǎng) means to face upward or tilt back. Add 着 (zhe) to make it continuous and 头 (tóu) for head, and 仰着头 describes holding your head tilted back — the universal posture for squeezing the last drops from a bottle, looking up at the moon, or gazing at a tall building. The 着 turns a momentary action into a maintained position: you are in the act of tilting back.

In the clip, the vlogger tips a milk bottle upside down with her head back to get the last drops: 仰着头把瓶子里剩下的牛奶喝完了 (“tilted my head back and finished the last of the milk in the bottle”).
