What does “ziet het zitten” mean in Flemish?

Flemish has a phrase for “Are you up for it?” or “Does this work for you?”: ziet (het) zitten? The construction comes from iets zien zitten (“to see something sitting”), a Dutch idiom meaning to see oneself doing something or to feel positive about a plan. The Flemish version often drops the pronoun het (“it”) and uses the verb-first cadence: Ziet zitten? In Netherlands Dutch, you’d more often say Zie je het zitten? with the pronoun. The Flemish version is shorter, snappier, and a reliable dialect tell.
