What does “社牛” and “社恐” mean in Chinese?

Both words open with 社 (shè), short for 社交 (shèjiāo), meaning “socialising.” Then the second character does the work: 牛 (niú) literally means cow but in slang means awesome or bold, so 社牛 is someone who is socially fearless — striking up conversations with strangers without a second thought. 恐 (kǒng) means fear, so 社恐 (from 社交恐惧) is casual internet shorthand for being socially anxious or socially avoidant — not a clinical diagnosis, just someone who dreads those situations.
