要不要试试看 (yào búyào shìshi kàn, “wanna try and see?”) is a friendly Taiwanese-Mandarin invitation pattern, especially common in cafés, bakeries, and small shops. The doubled verb 试试 (shìshi) softens the invitation into something playful, and the trailing 看 (kàn, “and see”) adds a hint of “let’s find out together.” Mainland speakers more often say 试一下 (shì yīxià), which is shorter but flatter. The Taiwanese version stretches the rhythm and matches the warmer customer-service tone Taiwan is known for.
