To remind one of; 'me recuerda a' = it reminds me of
Exploring Seoul, the host points at the bikes and says “me recuerda un poco a Europa, a Italia.” That little a changes everything. On its own, recordar means “to remember” (recuerdo a mi abuela, I remember my grandmother). But recordar a in the pattern me recuerda a... means “it reminds me of...”. Same verb, different job.
