Latte art maken met de Nederlands kampioen
A2 Dutch poslechová cvičení · Dutch · Vybráno pro začátečníci
How big is “latte art” in the Netherlands?
Latte art is the craft of pouring steamed-milk patterns into espresso — hearts, rosettas, swans, tulips, and increasingly elaborate freehand designs. The Netherlands has a serious third-wave coffee scene anchored in cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Den Haag, and a formal Nederlands Kampioenschap Latte Art runs annually under SCA-Netherlands rules. Dutch champions have placed in the World Latte Art Championship multiple times, often coming out of training rooms attached to specialty roasters like White Label Coffee, Lot Sixty One, Stooker Roasting, and Manhattan Coffee Roasters. Dutch baristas have also driven the flat white-versus-cappuccino-debate in European coffee culture.
In this clip, Het Klokhuis visits a champion’s training space: “Dit is de trainingsruimte van Nederlands kampioen Latte Art. Latte art is eigenlijk kunst met melk in de koffie.”
